I'm trying to install vSphere Hypervisor on an IBM x366 w/ ServerRAID 8i. I'm getting an error just after I select the drive to install to: vmware esxi unable to write image to the selected disk. I'm in the process of attempting to update the raid controllers firmware (it's been interesting because the update file wouldn't run from a live version of linux or windows so I'm now trying to install linux so I can run the update (hopefully)). I was wondering if anyone has been successful with this version of vSphere on the x366 - I just don't want to waste a lot of time attempting to update the system if it's just not going to work for me 
I had heard ESXi 2.5 (and higher) was supposed to be compatible so I was a little surprised when it bombed out during the install.
