Firewall in free VMware Hypervisor 5

Hi,

does the firewall in the free version of VMware Hypervisor 5 work or do I need the paid version for that feature?

I have restricted the ports for SSH and the vSphere client to a single IP address but I am still able to connect from everywhere. Even denying access to the ports completely does not prevent a connection. Only stopping the SSH demon works, but even then I get "connection refused" and not a timeout.
