Hi,
We have a ESXi 6.0 Dell host and 3 VMs running on it. Last week one of the VMs went down a few times and eventually vSphere logged the following message: "Error message on VM: We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement. An application (/bin/vmx) running on ESXi host has crashed (3 time(s) so far). A core file might have been created at ...."
The core file exists indeed but I couldn't get from it something to point me in the right direction. I check the other log files and I couldn't find anything suspect either.
Since then we shutdown the host and run a number of hardware diagnostic tools (ePSA from Dell as well as some other tools) testing especially memory and the CPUs). None of them returned any error.
Anyone has any idea how can I figure out the reason for this crash?
Thanks,
Daniel
