Can't delete corrupted swap file, or folder in datastore ESXI 4.1

Hey guys

After days of reading I thought I would give the forms a try.  I have a vsphere hypervisor 4.1 setup using sata hard drives for a test environment, which has been working perfect for about 6 months.  The other morning we had a power outtage and the hypervisior shutdown, upon restart one of my VM's would not start because of a damaged swap file.  I have since deleted the VM from inventory and removed all the files except I cannot delete the swap file or the directory it is stored in.  I have tried rm -rf which will usually remove everything but not this, just says no such file or directory, everything I have read suggests running a fsck on the data store will fix it but I cannot find the syntax any where.  I need to keep the datastore intact because I have other VM's on it that are still working but I would like to run a check on the vmfs store and be able to remove that file and folder and repair the corruption.  I have also worked through the locked file kb's with no joy.  I should also mention that the store is on a single sata drive, anyway any help or direction would be great.

Thanks
