Hi,
I've installed ESXi 5.0.0 hypervisor on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5, 4G ECC 1333 mem, and an Adaptec 2410SA raid controller - installation when through without a hitch.
The problem is, when I boot the machine, it POSTS, initializes the raid controller then blanks the screen ... and sits there for 20 mins (approx) ... and then boots.
Once booted, everything seems fine - I've created a VM and installed Debian, and that VM boots and looks fine.
I did a test and installed Debian directly on the machine, and that booted as expected without any delays.
I'm stumped.
